Gumpaste Hydrangea Video Tutorial

Keeping with the theme of flowers, for this video tutorials I thought I would show you how I create my hydrangea flowers. I love creating hydrangea flowers as I think they look so pretty on their own, or combined with other gumpaste sugar flowers. I usually try and make a variety of shades which I dust with petal dust as I think this makes them look so realistic when their together.

The photo below is an example of the hydrangeas in a bright pink colour placed in a dome of flowers on the top of a wedding cake. I love how they can be used to fill the gaps between larger flowers like the roses and peonies.

Below you’ll find the step by step tutorial showing you how I made the hydrangea flowers ⇩

I really hope you like it and will find it useful if you want to make hydrangeas for your own cakes. If you enjoy the video you can subscribe to my YouTube channel for more FREE video tutorials.
