Are you already thinking about your Christmas baking and looking for some festive ideas? Well how about these simple Christmas pudding cupcakes.
I love how these cupcakes look and if I’m really honest I much prefer a chocolate cupcake to real Christmas pudding! To make these I baked chocolate cupcakes in these brown muffin cakes. I then applied a nice helping of chocolate buttercream in a dome on the top. Click here for my chocolate cupcake and buttercream recipe. To this I added a disk of chocolate icing / fondant (I know major chocolate overload!). This then gave me this lovely shaped cupcake which from the top looked just like a Christmas pudding. To finish them off I added some royal icing drizzled over the top and cutout some holly shapes using the PME holly cutters.

I have also put below a video tutorial which shows you step by step exactly how I made them, so you can follow along and make your own Christmas Pudding cupcakes.
I really hope you find the video useful and will enjoy making your own cupcakes.
